Altered Images is a great Scottish New Wave band that is lots of fun to dance to. Singer Claire Grogan is also an actress that you might remember from the film Gregory’s Girl.
One of their biggest hits.
Altered Images-Don’t Talk To Me About Love
This one is great as well.
Altered Images-I could Be Happy
Every time I listen to Altered Images, I can’t help but think of the British-based band Fox, and vice versa. It’s because of the similarity between Claire Grogan and Australian singer Noosha Fox’s vocals.
check out this track and you’ll really hear it:

Sweet electronic beats from the streets of Brooklyn. Thrill Velocity is a one man show, lead by the ever creative and versatile Nolan Voss.
Not only is he a great musician, but Voss is also a kick-ass graphic designer.
Colored Lines Live Video:
Betty Wright is an R&B/soul singer.
This song is pretty amazing.
Betty Wright- Girls Can´t Do What The Guys Do
Here’s one of those youtube, photo-collage-things(yet not really a collage).
I’m Posting a lot tonight, since I finally have some time to catch-up.
I mentioned Toyah Wilcox in my previous Echo Beach Post, but she’s worth a bit more time.
Always visually stimulating, Toyah is the wife of King Crimson’s guitarist Robert Fripp and was also an actress in Quadrophenia and Derek Jarman’s Jubilee.

Cover Version Done by Diamanda Galas from her new album Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!

The Feminine Complex were a Nashville girl band from the late 1960’s. Mindy Dalton has quite a voice, and the songs are very groovy.
Here are a few of highlights from their only studio album “Livin’ Love”.
The Feminine Complex-Hide and Seek
The Feminine Complex-It\’s Magic
The Feminine Complex-Six O\’Clock In The Morning
The Shangs do a pretty neat cover of Six O’Clock in The Morning:
(David Byers from The Shangs was once in the 70’s Psych Rock group Simply Saucer)
